Neck tension & stiffness

Long periods at a desk, sleep position, joint restriction, muscle tension, and injuries such as whiplash can all affect comfortable neck movement.

Gentle movements to discuss with your clinician

Gentle chin tuck

Sit tall, relax your shoulders, and gently draw your head straight back without looking down. Keep the movement small and comfortable.

Hold 3 seconds · repeat 5 times
2

Comfortable neck rotation

With your chin level, slowly turn toward one shoulder until you feel a light stretch. Return to center and repeat on the other side.

5 slow repetitions per side
3

Shoulder-blade setting

Let your arms rest at your sides and gently draw your shoulder blades down and back. Avoid shrugging or forcing the position.
